Abdio PDF Editor is a word processor (similar to Microsoft Word) that lets you create and edit documents you can then convert to PDF files (it is important to know that you can't edit already existing PDF documents, only abdio mpd projects).
This program has a nice interface that lets you import DOC, RTF, TXT, HTML, XML files, export DOC, TXT, HTML files, and edit your projects by adding text, headers, and footers. It also lets you Insert Tables, Images, Files, Search and Replace, BookMark, and Page Browse, keep your mpd project and save the document as a pdf file.
The idea of a Word Processor to create PDF documents would be great if you could actually work with PDF files, but that is not the case with Abdio "PDF Editor", so I prefer other solutions, like plugins that let you create and edit documents with fully featured tools you already know and master (MS Word, Excel, etc), and then convert those documents to PDF format.
Not my first choice, but if you want to test this software, a free trial is available for download.
